I love how you coloured and shaded this, it looks kinda painterly. You also made it look very detailed yet also simple it's really nice to look at. The colours are in that sweet spot where they are there but not overly bright but also not too dull and I like the monochrome versions that goes with it. They really compliment each other. Also don't hate yourself over taking a long time to get it done. From what I have read the person you made it for seems to be elated with it. I've been there before with art trades where anxiety (and possibly depression) just gets in the way of doing anything, it sucks. but atleast you're not alone I guess. A lot of people I have done trades with have been there as well. Anyways this is a wonderful piece and I wish you well in the future.
